Most political science researchers in China work in universities and focus on political theories and the normalized research. Limited by the quality of their research, the researchers of the experiential studies have difficulties entering the mainstream of political science publications. In addition, it should be emphasized that there is still a plenty of room for improvement in the quality of both experiential and normalized research. A large number of political science papers lack necessary literature review and literature citation. Furthermore, they are short of 'question consciousness' and aren't able to raise theoretical hypotheses. However, the quality of political science papers in recent years has been improved greatly, perhaps indicating that the mainstream academic publications are increasingly stressing the importance of academic norms. It is encouraging to see that the academic community has made the efforts in terms of academic norms.
