Objective To assess the accuracy of Pentacam Scheimpflug imaging system in the measurement of central corneal thickness. Methods A-scan ultrasound pachymetry and Pentacam Scheimpflug imaging system were used to measure the central corneal thickness on 75 outpatients（ 150 eyes）. The results were compared. If the difference between these two methods was within -25 -25 um, the results were considered as coincidence. Results The value of central corneal thickness measured by the Pentacam Scheimpflug imaging system was （535.42 ± 25.27 ） um. The value of central corneal thickness measured by A-scan ultrasound pachymetry was （539.65 ±37.23） um. There was no significant difference between the results of there two methods（P 〉0.05）. There was a significant linear correlation between the two methods（P 〈 0. 01 ）. Coincidence rate was 94.67%. Conclusion The results obtained by Pentacam Scheimpflug imaging system are accurate, suggesting the Pentacam system a promising new instrument for central corneal thickness evaluation.
