Three kinds of K417 specimens were prepared by argon arc welding surfacing Co-Cr-W, Co-Cr-Mo and K4208 coating, and their high temperature wear resistance was investigated in the GW-MS500 high temperature fretting test-bed under different temperature and load. The static sample surface was observed by SEM and analyzed by EDS, the surface and internal organization of the moving sample was anatomized. The results show that the surfacing K4208 coating has the optimal high temperature wear resistance, and the surfacing Co-Cr-W coating has the most wear mass loss in the same load and temperature conditions. Co-Cr-Mo and K4208 alloys contain element Mo, and MoO2 can be formed at high temperature. MoO2 has the similar high temperature lubrication performance as MoS2, which can decrease the friction coefficient greatly, and improve the high temperature wear resistance of Co-Cr-Mo and K4208 alloys.
