Objective To construct an evaluation system for the prevention and control of infectious diseases in schools. Methods Both literature search and consultation with experts were used to evaluation the ability of the system to prevent and control the infectious diseases. Results The mean authoritative coefficient of 15 experts was 0.90,the mean of positive coefficient of two round investigations was 1. On the second consultation after modifying and merging the index system, the first-grade and the second-grade coordination coefficient were 0.723 and 0.729 respectively, and P=0.000. Delphi method was applied to screen the index system, which includes 9 first-grade indexes and 24 second-grade indexes. Conclusions Delphi method is an effective method to evaluate the ability of schools to prevent and control infectious diseases. It also provides a foundation for the establishment of quantitative evaluation model for the prevention and control of infectious diseases in school.
