In this paper, unsaturated polyester resin was modified by filling treated and untreated nano titanium dioxide. The effects of content of nano TiO 2 on the tensile strength, bending strength, impact strength and elongation at break of UP were studied. The results show that, when the content of treated nano TiO 2 is 4%, the mechanical properties are optimal. The glass temperature( T g) of composite materials were measured by DSC. It is found that the T g of composite materials is higher than that of UP resin, and the composite materials of treated TiO 2 has a higher T g, which is in agreement to the results of mechanical properties.
