The influence of normal and exponential N - fertilization methods on the height, ground diameter and biomass of one-year Cyclobalanopsis glauca seedlings was studied. The results showed that there was little difference of seedlings height and ground diameter between two methods at same level of N - fertilizer, and the seedling height and biomass of exponential fertilization treatment were 116.7% , and 107.3% to that of normal fer- tilization treatment. However, their ground diameter was only 78.3% to that of normal method. Furthermore, the seedlings height, ground diameter and biomass increased with the increase of N -fertilizer use, and showed a sig- nificant difference on seedlings height and biomass, but no significant difference existed in the ground diameter. In future, the N - fertilizer amounts should be enlarged research to confirm the suitable level and the difference of fer- tilization at normal and exponential method.
