Forest vegetables of Yangxi Nature Reserve were investigated in 2014 and 2015,combined with literature reviews of wild vegetables- related books such as Flora of Guizhou,The Wild Vegetables of China,and Atlas of Wild Vegetables. The result showed that there were185 species of forest vegetables belonging to 67 families in the region of Yangxi Nuture Reserve,most of which belong to the Compositae and the Liliaceae. Among these forest vegetables,the herbs were the main components,accounting for 70. 81% of the total; followed by shrubs,accounting for 12. 43%; and the ferns was the least,accounting for only 2. 86%. The leafy and stem vegetable species contributed the largest proportion of the forest vegetables,accounting for 68. 65% and 50. 27% of the total,respectively;while the flower,fruit,and root species accounted for only 8. 11%,8. 11% and 7. 03% respectively. More than half of the forest vegetables were the general distribution species,and the forest vegetables were most found in the southeastern and southern part of the Nature Reserve,mainly distributed in 800 ~ 1200 m above sea level.
