Objective： To investigateand compare MR imaging manifestations of meningioma and intracranial hemangiopericy-toma. Methods ： 36 patients with intracranial hemangiopericytoma were selected, and 220 patients adopting the operation of meningio-ma at the same time were also chosen. All the diseased we e confirmed operatively and pathologically, and all the patients had received the MR examination. The single factor analysis and multiple factor analysis were perfor^ned on the MR imaging manifestations of the two groups. Results： According to the single factor analysis,the tumor morphology, intratumoral necrosis and cystic signal, T1WI and T2WI signal strength, flow-empty signals, attached epidurals and signal enhancement unifor^mity between the two groups were signifi-cantly different （ P 〈0. 05）. According to Logistic regression equation, the multiple factors included tumor morpholog^^,T2WI signal strength and epidural tail signs （ P 〉0. 05）. Conclusions ： During the differential diagnosis of meningioma and intracranial hemangio-pericytoma, the initial MR imaging of intracranial hemangiopericytoma is featured as ＂no epidural tail signs＂ ,high signal or mixed sig-nal of T2WI and lobulated shape. Otherwise, it can be confirmed as meningioma in clinical practice.
