Objective To discuss the clinical effect and surgical method of repair of chronic lower extremity wound via skin flap graft.Methods 24 patients with chronic wounds on lower extremities,admitted to Burn and Plastic Surgery,Jiayuguan Jiugang Hospital from January 2013 to March 2017,were treated with skin flap repair.5 patients were treated with random skin flap repair,3 patients were treated with saphenous branch of descending genicular artery flap,12 patients were treated with sural nerve-small saphenous vein nutrient vessels flap and 4 patients were treated with plantar medial flap. Wound treatment results were observed. Results Among 24 patients, 19 got primary healing and 5 were healed after postoperative dressing change or secondary skin grafts. Conclusion Making wound bed preparation and choosing an appropriate skin flap to treat lower extremity wounds based on wound condition can improve the survival rate of skin flap and success rate of wound repair,worthy of being promoted in clinical practice.
