Objective To explore the effect of phased nursing on functional rehabilitation of upper limbs in patients with breast cancer after radical mastectomy. Methods Eighty-eight patients who treated with radical mastectomy in our hospital were selected and divided into control group and study group according to the random numbers table method, with 44 cases in each group. The control group was given routine rehabilitation nursing, and the study group received phased nursing. The rehabilitation effects and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The shoulder joint upward abduction, shoulder joint horizontal abduction, shoulder blade distance and upper limb dorsal extension finger distance from the 7 thcervical vertebra in the study group were better than those in the control group（P〈0.05）. The total incidence of complications in the study group was 9.09%, which was lower than 31.82% in the control group（P〈0.05）. Conclusion Phased nursing applied in patients with breast cancer after radical mastectomy can ensure the functional rehabilitation of upper limbs, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
