Objective To investigate the value of monitor the changes of pulse rate and oxygen saturation when pleura biopsy were undertaken with anesthesia. Methods Thirteen patients with pleural effusion from July 2017 to January 2018 were chosen as the research objects. According to Morocco routine operation, 2% lidocaine lower pleural biopsy had 200-300 mg and downward pleural puncture drainage, without anesthesia record operation in the process of pulse and the change of blood oxygen saturation and pleural reaction. Results In fifteen pleural biopsy, it were found that7 cases had changes in pulse and oxygen saturation with pale face、thorcalgia、cold perspiration and vertigo pain（7/15）, but the changes of the pulse and oxygen saturation were found before the occurrence of clinical symptoms during pleural biopsy. Conclusion It is convenient to use palmar pulse and oxygen saturation meter, which can detect the occurrence of pleural adverse reactions early and prevent the occurrence of adverse events.
