Although Ezra Pound had found and learnt something from traditional Chinese poetry and poetics, he,as well as his fellow poets and scholars, missed quite a lot in Chinese poetics that could have helped him to push his innovation of English-language poetry much further. The two concepts that are most likely to bring inspiration to innovators of Englishlanguage poetry are： Yijing and sense-grammar. Yijing is a five-dimensional poetic world constructed by a group of well-connected images, rather than a single image or several images simply placed in the super-position or loosely connected chronologically. Sense-grammar is based upon people＇s common sense and acquired in their daily life experience, and enables people to acquire the capability to respond correctly to language that is composed not according to any written grammatical rules. Sense-grammar is vital for the composition of good poems, especially ones with good Yijings.
