The Dongchelugou gold deposit in Gansu Province is a part of the North Qilian metallogenic belt.It is mainly a quartz vein type gold deposit.Influenced by the multi-stage hydrothermal activities in this area, the distribution of the gold deposit is complex, the grade varies greatly, and the mining geological conditions are poor, which greatly affects the prediction of deep orebodies and the layout of exploration and mining engineering. . In this paper, the fractal theory is used to study the vertical variation of the grade and thickness of S1 main orebody in the mining area. Combined with the method of geochemical primary halo analysis, it is concluded that the S1 orebody is likely to extend further to the depth, which has a certain guiding role for the deep prospecting of this type of ore deposit.
