Groundwater is an important part of recoverable water resources and an important ecological factor. At present,the most important methods to solve the problem of groundwater flow and solute transport are the finite difference method and the finite element method, both of which have their own programs that can be used for saturation-unsaturated seepage calculation. In this paper, the finite element method is adopted. The change of groundwater level flow field during tunnel excavation is predicted and analyzed,and its influence on groundwater environment is evaluated. It provides a reference for the groundwater environmental impact assessment method of the diversion tunnel project of hydropower station.
