Taking the design of inverted filling mold for back shell of tablet computer as an example,the function of computer aided design(CAD )/computer aided engineering(CAE)software in the molding of the plastic parts was introduced.The flow path and the gate layout of the plastic parts were formulated.By using the CAE software,the deformation and weld mark of the two CAE flow schemes were analyzed.Finally,a set of practical schemes were obtained to make the die.The design defects were greatly reduced and the internal quality and working performance of the plastic parts were improved.The practice shows that the design of injection mold by using CAD/CAE software is beneficial to the further optimization of the die structure.Therefore,it could guarantee the molding quality of the plastic parts and satisfy with the requirements of the production cycle.
