The spatial and temporal changes of livestock and poultry breeding industry in Zhejiang province, the discharges of livestock and poultry manure, nitrogen and phosphorus, as well as their effects on soil were analyzed in this paper based on the data collected from the statistical yearbook and the coefficients of pollutant generation and discharge. The results reveal that the amount of livestock and poultry breeding remains stable from 2000 to 2016. The average consumption of livestock and poultry in Northwestern Zhejiang is higher than that of East Zhejiang. The livestock and poultry production in Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Quzhou are the top three in the province, accounting for 48.5% of livestock and poultry manure. The average load of livestock and poultry manure, N and P in Zhejiang province are all lower than national standards.
