Objective To optimize the method of outpatient divided period reservation management to reduce patients' waiting time and improve the utilization rate of outpatient source. Methods To optimize the traditional management of outpatient divided period reservation and use traditional management method in outpatient A as control group and the optimized maiiagement method in outpatient B as experiment group. The SPSS 20.0 was used to compare the difference between the two groups. Results Compared to traditional reservation management, optimized management increased the reservation rate by 18.41 %, decreased missing rate by 11.43%.Waiting time of patients who had reserved from general outpatient clinics and expert clinics was respectively 25.13% and 33.41% shorter than those who hadnt reserved. Waiting time of general outpatient clinics and expert clinics of experimental group was respectively 52.38% and 45.11% shorter than those of control group. Patients satisfaction rate on this project increased by 14.65%. Conclusion Optimized time reservation management showed evident field effects of improving patients' experience during process of medical service. And it deserved further hierarchical research and popularization.
