Resistance in iron ore undergoes a sharp change of up to several orders of magnitude when the sintered solid phase changes to liquid phase.In view of the insufficiency of existing assimilation detection methods,a timing-of-assimilation reaction is proposed,which was judged by continuously detecting the changes in resistance at the reaction interface.Effects of pole position and additional amounts of iron ore on assimilation reaction timing were investigated.The results showed that the suitable depth of pole groove was about 2 mm,and there was no obvious impact when the distance of the poles changed from 4 to 6 mm,or the amount of iron ore changed from 0.4 to 0.6 g.The temperature of sudden change of resistance in the temperature-resistant image was considered to be the lowest assimilation temperature of iron ore.The accuracy of this resistance method was clarified by X-ray diffraction,optical microscope,and scanning electron microscope/energy dispersive spectrometer(SEM/EDS)analyses. 展开更多

硫酸盐环境下CFRP加固顺序对混凝土梁界面黏结性能影响 预览

提出了先粘贴CFRP后硫酸盐腐蚀以及先硫酸盐腐蚀后粘贴CFRP两种加固顺序,开展了64块CFRP-混凝土试件的双剪试验,分析了CFRP粘贴顺序、粘贴长度、粘贴宽度对混凝土界面破坏模态、抗压强度、剥离荷载、黏结强度、界面能、黏结应力-滑移曲... 提出了先粘贴CFRP后硫酸盐腐蚀以及先硫酸盐腐蚀后粘贴CFRP两种加固顺序,开展了64块CFRP-混凝土试件的双剪试验,分析了CFRP粘贴顺序、粘贴长度、粘贴宽度对混凝土界面破坏模态、抗压强度、剥离荷载、黏结强度、界面能、黏结应力-滑移曲线的影响,并基于硫酸盐环境影响系数建立了CFRP-混凝土界面黏结强度模型。试验结果表明,硫酸盐环境下,环氧树脂胶体能较好的保护混凝土黏结区域;随着硫酸盐腐蚀时间的延长,界面的剥离荷载、黏结强度均呈下降趋势,腐蚀至123 d时,下降最为严重,而对于界面断裂能,腐蚀至123 d时,下降幅度反而降低;CFRP黏结长度为65 mm下的界面黏结强度最大,随着黏结长度的增加,CFRP-混凝土界面的黏结性能逐渐降低;硫酸盐环境影响系数的提出可为恶劣环境的分类提供科学依据。 展开更多

Due to the incompatibility of the interlaminar deformations,the interface debonding or cracking usually happens in a layered magnetoelectric(ME)structure under an applied load.In this paper,the transient responses of the anti-plane interface cracks in piezoelectric(PE)-piezomagnetic(PM)sandwich structures are studied by the standard methods of the integral transform and singular integral equation.Discussion on the numerical examples indicates that the PE-PM-PE structure under electric impact is more likely to fracture than the PM-PE-PM structure under a magnetic impact.The dynamic stress intensity factors(DSIFs)are more sensitive to the variation of the active layer thickness.The effects of the material constants on the DSIFs are dependent on the roles played by PE and PM media during the deformation process. 展开更多

Spinal cord injury is linked to the interruption of neural pathways,which results in irreversible neural dysfunction.Neural repair and neuroregeneration are critical goals and issues for rehabilitation in spinal cord injury,which require neural stem cell repair and multimodal neuromodulation techniques involving personalized rehabilitation strategies.Besides the involvement of endogenous stem cells in neurogenesis and neural repair,exogenous neural stem cell transplantation is an emerging effective method for repairing and replacing damaged tissues in central nervous system diseases.However,to ensure that endogenous or exogenous neural stem cells truly participate in neural repair following spinal cord injury,appropriate interventional measures(e.g.,neuromodulation)should be adopted.Neuromodulation techniques,such as noninvasive magnetic stimulation and electrical stimulation,have been safely applied in many neuropsychiatric diseases.There is increasing evidence to suggest that neuromagnetic/electrical modulation promotes neuroregeneration and neural repair by affecting signaling in the nervous system;namely,by exciting,inhibiting,or regulating neuronal and neural network activities to improve motor function and motor learning following spinal cord injury.Several studies have indicated that fine motor skill rehabilitation training makes use of residual nerve fibers for collateral growth,encourages the formation of new synaptic connections to promote neural plasticity,and improves motor function recovery in patients with spinal cord injury.With the development of biomaterial technology and biomechanical engineering,several emerging treatments have been developed,such as robots,brain-computer interfaces,and nanomaterials.These treatments have the potential to help millions of patients suffering from motor dysfunction caused by spinal cord injury.However,large-scale clinical trials need to be conducted to validate their efficacy.This review evaluated the efficacy of neural stem cells and magnetic or electrical stimu 展开更多

This study explored methods for improving the performance of Steady-State Visual Evoked Potential(SSVEP)-based Brain-Computer Interfaces(BCI), and introduced a new analytical method to quantitatively analyze and reflect the characteristics of SSVEP. We focused on the effect of the pre-stimulation paradigm on the SSVEP dynamic models and the dynamic response process of SSVEP, and performed a comparative analysis of three pre-stimulus paradigms(black, gray, and white). Four dynamic models with different orders(second-and third-order)and with and without a zero point were used to fit the SSVEP envelope. The zero-pole analytical method was adopted to conduct quantitative analysis on the dynamic models, and the response characteristics of SSVEP were represented by zero-pole distribution characteristics. The results of this study indicated that the pre-stimulation paradigm affects the characteristics of SSVEP, and the dynamic models had good fitting abilities with SSVEPs under various types of pre-stimulation. Furthermore, the zero-pole characteristics of the models effectively characterize the damping coefficient, oscillation period, and other SSVEP characteristics. The comparison of zeros and poles indicated that the gray pre-stimulation condition corresponds to a lower damping coefficient, thus showing its potential to improve the performance of SSVEP-BCIs. 展开更多

The present study deals with the propagation of a polarized shear horizontal(SH)wave in a pre-stressed piezoelectric cylinder circumscribed by a self-reinforced cylinder.The interface of the two media is assumed mechanically imperfect.For obtaining the dispersion relation,the mathematical formulation has been developed and solved by an analytical treatment.The effects of various parameters,i.e.,the thickness ratio,the imperfect interface,the initial stress,the reinforcement,and the piezoelectric and dielectric constants,on the dispersion curve are observed prominently.The dispersion curves for different modes have been also plotted.The consequences of the study may be used for achieving optimum efficiency of acoustic wave devices. 展开更多

In this paper,two-grid immersed finite element (IFE) algorithms are proposed and analyzed for semi-linear interface problems with discontinuous diffusion coefficients in two dimension.Because of the advantages of finite element (FE) formulation and the simple structure of Cartesian grids,the IFE discretization is used in this paper.Two-grid schemes are formulated to linearize the FE equations.It is theoretically and numerically illustrated that the coarse space can be selected as coarse as H =O(h^1/4)(or H =O(h^1/8)),and the asymptotically optimal approximation can be achieved as the nonlinear schemes.As a result,we can settle a great majority of nonlinear equations as easy as linearized problems.In order to estimate the present two-grid algorithms,we derive the optimal error estimates of the IFE solution in the L^p norm.Numerical experiments are given to verify the theorems and indicate that the present two-grid algorithms can greatly improve the computing efficiency. 展开更多

Dislocation-mediated migration of interphase boundaries

Faceted interphase boundaries(IPBs)are commonly observed in lath-shaped precipitates in alloys consisting of simple face-centred cubic(fcc),body centred-cubic(bcc)or hexagonal closed packed(hcp)phases,which normally contain one or two sets of parallel dislocations.The influence of these dislocations on interface migration and possible accompanying long-range strain field remain unclear.To elucidate this,we carried out atomistic simulations to investigate the dislocation-mediated migration processes of IPBs in a pure-iron system.Our results show that the migration of these IPBs is accompanied with the slip of interfacial dislocations,even in high-index slip planes,with two migration modes were observed:the first mode is the uniform migration mode that occurs only when all of the dislocations slip in a common slip plane.A shear-coupled interface migration was observed for this mode.The other interfaces propagate in the stick-slip migration mode that occurs when the dislocations glide on different slip planes,involving dislocation reaction or tangling.A quantitative relationship was established to link the atomic displacements with the dislocation structure,slip plane,and interface normal.The macroscopic shear deformation due to the effect of overall atomic displacement shows a good agreement with the results obtained based on the phenomenological theory of martensite crystallography.Our findings have general implications for the understanding of phase transformations and the surface relief effect at the atomic scale. 展开更多

Limb loss and spinal cord injury are two debilitating conditions that continue to grow in prevalence.Prosthetic limbs and limb reanimation present two ways of providing affected individuals with means to interact in the world.These techniques are both dependent on a robust interface with the peripheral nerve.Current methods for interfacing with the peripheral nerve tend to suffer from low specificity,high latency and insufficient robustness for a chronic implant.An optical peripheral nerve interface may solve some of these problems by decreasing invasiveness and providing single axon specificity.In order to implement such an interface three elements are required:(1)a transducer capable of translating light into a neural stimulus or translating neural activity into changes in fluorescence,(2)a means for delivering said transducer and (3)a microscope for providing the stimulus light and detecting the fluorescence change.There are continued improvements in both genetically encoded calcium and voltage indicators as well as new optogenetic actuators for stimulation.Similarly,improvements in specificity of viral vectors continue to improve expression in the axons of the peripheral nerve.Our work has recently shown that it is possible to virally transduce axons of the peripheral nerve for recording from small fibers.The improvements of these components make an optical peripheral nerve interface a rapidly approaching alternative to current methods. 展开更多

In light of multiple field experiments in typical tidal areas with active sea-land interaction, corresponding analysis through hydrodynamic simulation and of ion composition evolution all insist on following conclusions. Due to the tide, the groundwater level is basically in line with its level but with a slight lag. Moreover, smaller amplitude of such changes were always accompanied by greater distance from shores. In this paper, two salt-freshwater interfaces were identified, namely, a large wedge-shaped interface and an inverted U-shaped one located at K5 (monitoring point). The critical hydraulic gradient of saltwater intrusion was between 0.0345 and 0.0377. Apart from that, mathematical and physical models were adopted to measure the influence of tides, showing a inverse proportion to the hydraulic gradient In addition, characteristics of ionic components can prove that K^+ was adsorbed and Ca^2+ was displaced during saline intrusion, while a reverse process was witnessed during desalting. In summary, cation exchange adsorption plus other complex physical chemical effects would take place during saltwater intrusion. 展开更多

CRTS Ⅰ型双块式无砟轨道道床板为现浇混凝土部件结构,轨枕为预制结构部件,在新、旧混凝土交界处存在界面易开裂的问题。建立CRTS Ⅰ型双块式无砟轨道有限元模型,用cohesive内聚力单元模拟运营阶段轨枕与道床交界面,研究运营阶段在列车荷载和温度荷载作用下轨枕与道床交界面力学特性。结果表明:整体降温作用下,道床与轨枕交界面长边先出现损伤,并扩展到轨枕角处的交界面;交界面短边沿道床深度界面损伤逐渐变小,底部损伤只发展到轨枕角;在正温度梯度作用下,交界面主要不利受力区域为4个轨枕角及长边中上部区域,易出现损伤;在负温度梯度作用下,交界面长边受拉破坏,轨枕角交界面上部发生破坏;仅列车荷载作用下,不会造成界面破坏。 展开更多
