中药复方提取液治疗牙周病60例 预览

目的:观察中药复方提取液治疗牙周病的临床疗效及对咀嚼功能的影响。方法:将120例患者随机分为观察组、对照组各60例,对照组服用甲硝唑,200 mg/次,3次/d。观察组将中药复方提取液用棉签涂抹于牙龈及牙周黏膜,3次/d。2组均以连续用药7天... 目的:观察中药复方提取液治疗牙周病的临床疗效及对咀嚼功能的影响。方法:将120例患者随机分为观察组、对照组各60例,对照组服用甲硝唑,200 mg/次,3次/d。观察组将中药复方提取液用棉签涂抹于牙龈及牙周黏膜,3次/d。2组均以连续用药7天为1个疗程,治疗3个疗程后比较2组患者用药后的治疗效果、用药后细菌敏感性变化情况以及对咀嚼功能的影响。结果:2组变形链球菌、牙龈卟啉菌、伴放线杆菌以及具核酸杆菌的无菌生长的最低药物浓度比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。观察组临床疗效优于对照组,2组比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。2组患者咀嚼功能有不同程度改善,观察组改善状况明显好于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:采用中药复方提取液治疗牙周病具有明显的临床疗效,可使牙周病致病细菌敏感性更高,提高患者的咀嚼功能。 展开更多

金马河温江段河岸带不同生境下草本植物多样性和植物区系与土壤环境因子的关系

采用典型样地法,根据当地采沙运沙干扰及河岸带水位变化的影响,将河岸带生境划分河滩地、砾石地、芦苇地、斑茅地、沙坑地5个类型.运用除趋势对应分析(DCA)和冗余分析(RDA)研究不同生境间河岸带草本植物区系成分、群落和环境因子的关系... 采用典型样地法,根据当地采沙运沙干扰及河岸带水位变化的影响,将河岸带生境划分河滩地、砾石地、芦苇地、斑茅地、沙坑地5个类型.运用除趋势对应分析(DCA)和冗余分析(RDA)研究不同生境间河岸带草本植物区系成分、群落和环境因子的关系.结果表明:(1)5个类型生境记录草本植物共35科91属109种,以禾本科(Gramineae)、菊科(Compositae)、蓼科(Polygonaceae)植物为主,沙坑地物种数最多,砾石地和河滩地物种数次之,斑茅地和芦苇地物种数最少.(2)属的区系成分较全面地表现了河岸带草本植物的地理分布,金马河温江段草本植物区系主要由世界分布型和泛热带分布型构成.(3)不同生境类型下Shannon-Wiener多样性指数(H)、Simpson指数(H’)和Pielou均匀度指数(Jsw)具有特定变化趋势,物种丰富度指数(D)对生境变化响应不显著.(4)河岸带土壤pH呈弱碱性,砾石地和芦苇地的全氮、全钾和有机质含量明显高于其他生境,河滩地和沙坑地土壤含水量、全磷含量较低. DCA和RDA结果表明,含水量、全氮和有机质是影响生境群落分布的主要限制因子,而土壤pH是影响植物区系组成分异的最主要条件.综上所述,经生态改造后的河滩地生境为河岸带最适生境类型. 展开更多

试验旨在研究两种复方中草药添加剂对肉牛生产性能及血液生化指标的影响。选择性别(母牛)、品种(西门塔尔×本地黄牛)相同,体重相近[(350±25)kg]的杂交肉牛12头,按体重随机分为对照组、试验Ⅰ组和试验Ⅱ组。以黄贮为粗饲料来源... 试验旨在研究两种复方中草药添加剂对肉牛生产性能及血液生化指标的影响。选择性别(母牛)、品种(西门塔尔×本地黄牛)相同,体重相近[(350±25)kg]的杂交肉牛12头,按体重随机分为对照组、试验Ⅰ组和试验Ⅱ组。以黄贮为粗饲料来源,采取精料定量粗饲料自由采食的方式进行饲喂。试验Ⅰ组和试验Ⅱ组的精料中分别添加一种中草药添加剂,对照组不添加任何添加剂。试验预饲期7 d,正式试验期90 d,每天精确记录采食量,并于试验开始和结束的清晨空腹称重,试验结束的清晨空腹采集静脉血进行检测。结果表明,试验Ⅰ组和试验Ⅱ组的干物质采食量分别提高了5.66%和4.21%(P<0.05);试验Ⅰ组和试验Ⅱ组的平均日增重比对照组分别提高了33.64%和28.26%(P<0.05);两试验组的血液常规指标中,白蛋白含量比对照组分别提高了7.16%和16.89%(P<0.05);但球蛋白含量比对照组分别降低了31.75%和35.16%(P<0.05);血液肝功指标中,试验Ⅰ组的乳酸脱氢酶活性显著低于试验Ⅱ组和对照组(P<0.05),其他指标未见显著差异(P>0.05);试验Ⅰ组的血液总抗氧化能力显著高于试验Ⅱ组和对照组(P<0.05),其中试验Ⅰ组的超氧化物歧化酶活性比对照组和试验Ⅱ组分别高出62.47%和9.10%(P<0.05),试验Ⅱ组比对照组高出48.92%(P<0.05);其他血液抗氧化指标未见显著差异(P>0.05)。 展开更多

Shen-Jing as a Chinese Medicine Concept Might Be a Counterpart of Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine

As the epitome of the modern regenerative medicine, stem cells were proposed in the basic sense no more than 200 years ago. However, the concept of "stem cells" existed long before the modern medical description. The hypothesis that all things, including our sentient body, were generated from a small origin was shared between Western and Chinese people. The ancient Chinese philosophers considered Jing(also known as essence) as the origin of life. In Chinese medicine(CM), Jing is mainly stored in Kidney(Shen) and the so-called Shen-Jing(Kidney essence). Here, we propose that Shen-Jing is the CM term used to express the meaning of "origin and regeneration". This theoretical discovery has at least two applications. First, the actions underlying causing Shen-Jing deficiency, such as excess sexual intercourse, chronic diseases, and aging, might damage the function of stem cells. Second, a large number of Chinese herbs with Shen-Jing-nourishing efficacy had been proven to affect stem cell proliferation and differentiation. Therefore, if Shen-Jing in CM is equivalent with stem cells in regenerative medicine, higher effective modulators for regulating stem-cell behaviors from Kidney-tonifying herbs would be expected. 展开更多

采用自主搭建的X射线荧光分析及商用的电感耦合等离子发射光谱方法,对几种常见的植物类(胎菊、北板蓝根)、动物类(蝉蜕、地龙)和中成药类(郁金银翘片、葶贝胶囊)药材样品中典型元素硫、钾、铬、锰、钒、锆的含量进行了分析研究,该套X射... 采用自主搭建的X射线荧光分析及商用的电感耦合等离子发射光谱方法,对几种常见的植物类(胎菊、北板蓝根)、动物类(蝉蜕、地龙)和中成药类(郁金银翘片、葶贝胶囊)药材样品中典型元素硫、钾、铬、锰、钒、锆的含量进行了分析研究,该套X射线荧光分析(X-ray Fluorescence,XRF)系统对于Cr、Mn元素的检出限较好。分析结果发现在多数药材样品中有较高含量的钾元素,而过量高钾的摄入会对人体心脏和肾脏造成负担,因此根据标准给出每日摄入量小于100mg·d^-1的参考值。同样在多数样品中检测到较高含量的硫元素,推测可能是制药工艺中的化学添加物富集所致,需引起关注并值得进一步研究。所有样品中均检测出较低含量的钒、锆元素,说明该中药材样品中不存在显著的钒、锆元素污染。在某些动物类和中成药类药材样品中,检测到超标存在的铬、锰元素,在非必要时需要减少用量。根据铬元素生素矿物质可耐受最高每日摄入量小于0.5mg·d^-1的标准,给出了这几种药材样品的建议每日最大摄入量:植物类样品小于2.841g·d^-1、动物类样品小于0.958mg·d^-1、中成药类样品小于0.935mg·d^-1。 展开更多

Herbs are an excellent source of tropical medicines. Many advancements and discoveries have taken place in the field of drug discovery but still, a major population of tropical diseases relies on herbal traditional medicine. There are some challenges related to policy implementation, efficacy, resistance and toxicity of tropical medicines. There are many tropical diseases such as such as schistosomiasis, leishmaniasis, African sleeping sickness, filariasis and chagas disease which are neglected because very few pharmaceutical companies have shown their interest in developing therapeutics against these diseases of poor people. There are many benefits associated with herbal medicine such as the cost of production, patient tolerance, large scale availability, efficacy, safety, potency, recyclability, and environment friendly. A large number of natural extracts such as curcumin, artemisinin, morphine, reserpine, and hypericin, are in use for treatment of different tropical diseases for a long time. Background: Herbal rectal suppositories (RSs) were prescribed not only as a drug delivery system but also as a storing method in Persian medicine. According to the record of ancient references, RSs were clinically administered for diarrhea, constipation, colitis, ascites, dysentery and intestinal parasites, sciatic, lower back pain and joint aches, fever, kidney disease and as an aphrodisiac. Objectives: The aim of this study is to categorize and review different types of RSs, their main herbal components and to find evidence to elucidate their clinical administration. Results: In this study, 7 manuscripts were studied to extract and categorize 11 types of herbal rectal suppositorie (RS) formulations, their ingredients and therapeutic indications. Furthermore, the Persian and scientific names of 43 herbs and their temperaments were mentioned in this study. Hence, ancient therapeutic indications of herbs used in RS formulations as well as their proven effects have been studied, which makes it possible to compare ancient and proven indications of medicinal plants used as ingredients of RSs. Conclusions: In modern medicine, RSs are mostly used for anorectic disorders. However in traditional Persian medicine, they were commonly used not only for anorectic and intestinal diseases, but also as an aphrodisiac, an agent for healing joint, sciatic pain and lumbago, an anti-fever, and an anti-ascites. Other implications of this study could be producing new insights of utilizing herbal RSs in diseases and disorders beyond anorectic and intestinal disorders. 展开更多

The present market for herbal drugs is estimated about ?40 billion, which is expected to increase by 16% in next 3-4 years. The current production of many Ayurvedic herbs is less than their market demand, which incentivizes adulteration in the Ayurvedic drug supply chain. The present work aims to highlight the most used Ayurvedic plants that have been listed in the International Union for Conservation of Nature's "red list" of endangered or vulnerable plants. The future of Ayurvedic medicines from these listed plants is uncertain, as the collection of herbs from their natural habitat is prohibited and their cultivation does not meet market demands. Many of these plants, such as Taxus baccata and T. wallichiana, are endangered and are only grown in their natural habitats;their cultivation in other areas is impractical. This is the present state, and will worsen as demand continues to grow, with increasing populations and increasing adoption of this system of medicine. It is possible that in coming years most of the Ayurvedic drugs will be adulterated, and will cause only side effects rather than the therapeutic effects. The Ayurvedic fundamentals are under-explored areas where the Ayurvedic practitioners and research scientists can work together. The scientific work on the basic principles will unravel many unknown or little-known facts of this ancient science. Hence, the present review emphasizes the conservation of Ayurvedic herbs, minimization of the use of medicinal plants and the promotion of the research based on Ayurvedic fundamentals. 展开更多

Efficacy and economic evaluation of Chinese herbs and immunomodulators in adjuvant treatment of initial smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and economic benefits of Chinese herbs(CHs)and immunomodulators in adjuvant treatment of initial smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis.Methods A prospective case-control study was used.Totally 275 initial smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis patients were assigned to 3 groups by random digit table,91 cases in the control group,92 cases in the immunomodulator group,and 92 cases in the CHs group.Patients in the control group received anti-tuberculosis chemotherapy(2HRZE/4HR).Patients in the immunomodulator group were additionally injected with mycobacterium tumefaciens F.U.36 injection.Those in the CHs group took Jiehe Pill(JHP)additionally.The course of treatment was 6 months for all.The sputum negative conversion rate,lung focus absorption rate,and cavity closure rate of the 3 groups were observed.The remission rate of clinical symptoms and the incidence of adverse drug reactions(ADRs)were observed and compared.The cost-effectiveness analysis method was used for economic evaluation.Results The sputum negative conversion rate,the total lung focus absorption rate,and the cavity closure rate in the immunomodulator group and CHs group were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the above rates between the immunomodulator group and the CHs group(P>0.05).After 2 months of treatment,the total effective remission rates of clinical symptoms were higher in the immunomodulator group and the CHs group than in the control group.There was no statistically significant difference between the immunomodulator group and the CHs group(P>0.05).The incidence of ADRs in the control group was 19.78%(18/91),16.30%(15/92)in the immunomodulator group,and 14.13%(13/92)in the CHs group.There was no statistically significant difference among the 3 groups(P>0.05).The average cost of treatment in the immunomodulator group,CHs group,and control group were 10964.92,10750.62,and 8554.84 yuan,respectively.The increment cost-benefit was 178.63 yuan 展开更多

SASP加中药保留灌肠治疗溃疡性结肠炎64例 预览

目的:观察柳氮磺胺吡啶(SASP)加中药保留灌肠治疗溃疡性结肠炎的临床疗效。方法:将溃疡性结肠炎患者128例随机分为对照组和观察组各64例。对照组口服SASP肠溶片,观察组同时采用中药汤剂保留灌肠治疗,1次/d。20天为1个疗程,疗程间间隔1周... 目的:观察柳氮磺胺吡啶(SASP)加中药保留灌肠治疗溃疡性结肠炎的临床疗效。方法:将溃疡性结肠炎患者128例随机分为对照组和观察组各64例。对照组口服SASP肠溶片,观察组同时采用中药汤剂保留灌肠治疗,1次/d。20天为1个疗程,疗程间间隔1周,连续治疗3个疗程。对比2组临床疗效及治疗前后Southerland DAI评分、内镜Baron评分和血清肿瘤坏死因子α(TNF-α)和白细胞介素6(IL-6)水平的变化情况。结果:Southerland DAI评分、内镜Baron评分、每日大便次数治疗前后2组组内及组间比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。总有效率对照组为78.1%,观察组为93.8%,2组比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。血清TNF-α和IL-6水平治疗前后2组组内及组间比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:SASP加中药保留灌肠治疗溃疡性结肠炎疗效确切,并能减轻患者机体炎症反应程度。 展开更多

As total life expectancy increases, the prevalence of age-related diseases such as diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease is also increasing. Many hypotheses about Alzheimer’s disease have been developed, including cholinergic neuron damage, oxidative stress, and inflammation. Acetylcholine is a major neurotransmitter in the brain and cholinergic deficits leads to cognitive dysfunction and decline. Recent studies have linked diabetes as a risk factor in developing Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. The incidence of patients with type II diabetes and increased levels and activity of α-amylase is higher in patients with dementia. It has been shown that aromatherapy with essential oils from the mint family can improve cognitive performance in Alzheimer’s disease patients. Selected monoterpenoids from these essential oils are reported to inhibit acetylcholinesterase, both in vitro and in vivo. Terpenoids are small, fat-soluble organic molecules that can transfer across nasal mucosa if inhaled, or penetrate through the skin after topical application, enter into the blood and cross the blood-brain barrier. Recent evidence supports the idea that the common constituents of essential oils also inhibit α-amylase, a starch digestive enzyme that plays an important role in the control of diabetes. The mint family is a fragrant plant family that contains most of the culinary herbs found in the Mediterranean diet. The Mediterranean diet is considered to be one of the healthiest diets in the world, and is found to be beneficial not only for the heart but also for the brain. Herbs used in this diet are rich in antioxidants that can prevent oxidative damage caused by free radicals. However, our study shows that they also contain biologically active compounds with potent α-amylase and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activities. Consumption of fresh herbs can help boost memory and reduce sugar levels in the body. The use of herbs as a functional food could lead to significant improvements in health. Cognitive stim 展开更多

QR code labeling system for Xueteng-related herbs based on DNA barcode

Objective: Xueteng-related herbs include Spatholobi Caulis(Jixueteng in Chinese), Sargentodoxae Caulis(Daxueteng in Chinese), Kadsurae Caulis(Dianjixueteng in Chinese), and other medicinal plant stems that release reddish-brown juices after being cut. However, similarity in phonetic spelling and sound leads to their misuse in clinic or commercial circulation. Accurate labeling is imperative as well as effective for species identification.Methods: In this study, the ITS2 sequences of 76 samples of Xueteng-related herbs were obtained and analyzed to identify them. And then they were converted into QR codes using the open source PHP QR code. Also, a DNA barcode reference library was established according to these sequences and was used to authenticate the 25 samples of Xueteng-related herbs collected from the market.Results: The lengths of the ITS2 sequences of different Xueteng-related herbs ranged from 207 to 235 bp and the GC contents were 57.5%-71.0%. Jixueteng, Daxueteng, and Dianjixueteng were clustered into three clades respectively in the neighbor-joining(NJ) phylogenetic tree, and the efficiency of the BLAST method was 100%. The ITS2 sequences of different Xueteng-related herbs were presented vividly and specifically in QR code. Twenty-two of all 25 commercial samples were consistent with the original labels, whereas three samples marked 'Dianjixueteng' were authenticated as 'Jixueteng'.Conclusion: QR code labeling system based on DNA barcode is an effective labeling system of Xuetengrelated herbs for their circulation regulation. 展开更多
