“Exploring petroleum inside source kitchen”: Connotation and prospects of source rock oil and gas 预览

Based on the transitional background of the global energy structure, exploration and development of unconventional oil and gas, and investigation of key basins, the unconventional oil and gas resources are divided into three types: source rock oil and gas, tight oil and gas, and retention and accumulated oil and gas. Source rock oil and gas resources are the global strategic supplies of oil and gas, the key resource components in the second 150-year life cycle of the future petroleum industry, and the primary targets for “exploring petroleum inside source kitchen”. The geological connotation of source rock oil and gas was proposed, and the models of source rock oil and gas generation, expulsion and accumulation were built, and five source rock oil and gas generation sections were identified, which may determine the actual resource potential under available technical conditions. The formation mechanism of the “sweet sections” was investigated, that is, shale oil is mainly accumulated in the shale section that is close to the oil generation section and has higher porosity and permeability, while the “sweet sections” of coal-bed methane(CBM) and shale gas have self-contained source and reservoir and they are absorbed in coal seams or retained in the organic-rich black shale section, so evaluation and selection of good 'sweet areas(sections)' is the key to “exploring petroleum inside source kitchen”. Source rock oil and gas resources have a great potential and will experience a substantial growth for over ten world-class large “coexistence basins” of conventional-unconventional oil and gas in the future following North America, and also will be the primary contributor to oil stable development and the growth point of natural gas production in China, with expected contribution of 15% and 30% to oil and gas, respectively, in 2030. Taking tight oil in Gaotaizi and Fuyu oil layers of the Upper Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation in northern Songliao Basin as an example, based on analyses of nuclear magnetic resonance and high pressure mercury injection, experiment methods of supercritical carbon dioxide displacement and extraction are firstly employed to quantify crude oil mobility in tight sand reservoirs with different lithologies and oil contents. The results show that, under the conditions of simulating the Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation in the northern Songliao Basin at a temperature of 76-89 °C and a pressure of 35-42 MPa, the lower limit of the porosity of the movable oil is4.4%, and the lower limit of the permeability is 0.015′10^-3 mm^2. The lower limit of the average pore throat radius is 21 nm. On this basis,a classification standard for three types of tight sand reservoirs is proposed. Type I reservoirs are characterized by the movable fluid saturation larger than 40%, the movable oil ratio(ratio of movable oil to total oil) greater than 30% and the starting pressure gradient in the range of 0.3-0.6 MPa/m;Type II reservoirs are characterized by the movable fluid saturation in the range of 10%–40%, the movable oil ratio in the range of 5%–30% and the starting pressure gradient in the range of 0.6–1.0 MPa/m;Type III reservoirs are characterized by the movable fluid saturation less than 10% in general, the movable oil ratio less than 5%, and the starting pressure gradient greater than1.0 MPa/m. The fluid mobility in tight sand reservoirs is mainly affected by diagenesis and sedimentary environment. Reservoirs with depth lower than 2000 m are dominated by type I reservoir, whereas those with greater depth are dominated by type I and II reservoirs.Reservoirs in inner delta-front facies are dominated by type I reservoir, whereas those in outer delta-front facies and shore-shallow lacustrine facies are dominated by type II and III reservoirs. 展开更多

However, the refining industry is suffering some challenges, such as severe overcapacity at present, and has entered a new economic normal, in which the technological progress develops rapidly, the demand for green and low-carbon development is stricter, the market competition is increasingly fiercer and the profit margins are gradually narrowing. In such a situation, informatization and its new technologies are driving the significant reforming of manufacturing patterns, marketing patterns, management and decision-making patterns. Intelligent development is the inevitable choice for the transformation and upgrading of oil refining and petrochemical industry. It is suggested that the intelligent evaluating model and method should be adopted to enterprise’s intelligentializing transformation and upgrading by laying a solid foundation of digital refinery and implemenation of digital upgrading. 展开更多

Gl obal recoverable resources of heavy oil and oil sands have been assessed by CNPC using a geology-based assessment method combined with the traditional volumetric method,spatial interpolation method,parametric-probability method etc.The most favourable areas for exploration have been selected in accordance with a comprehensive scoring system.The results show:(1)For geological resources,CNPC estimate 991.18 billion tonnes of heavy oil and 501.26 billion tonnes of oil sands globally,of which technically recoverable resources of heavy oil and oil sands comprise 126.74 billion tonnes and 64.13 billion tonnes respectively.More than 80%of the resources occur within Tertiary and Cretaceous reservoirs distributed across 69 heavy-oil basins and 32 oil-sands basins.99%of recoverable resources of heavy oil and oil sands occur within foreland basins,passive continental-margin basins and cratonic basins.(2)Since residual hydrocarbon resources remain following large-scale hydrocarbon migration and destruction,heavy oil and oil sands are characterized most commonly by late hydrocarbon accumulation,the same basin types and source-reservoir conditions as for conventional hydrocarbon resources,shallow burial depth and stratabound reservoirs.(3)Three accumulation models are recognised,depending on basin type:degradation along slope;destruction by uplift;and migration along faults.(4)In addition to mature exploration regions such as Canada and Venezuela,the Volga-Ural Basin and the Pre-Caspian Basin are less well-explored and have good potential for oil-sand discoveries,and it is predicted that the Middle East will be an important region for heavy-oil development. 展开更多

Quantitative prediction of oil saturation of unconsolidated sandstone reservoir based on time-lapse seismic “relative difference method”: Taking Zeta oil field in West Africa as an example 预览

In view of the disadvantage that the absolute difference of time-lapse seismic(the difference between monitoring data and base data) is not only related to the change of oil saturation, but also closely related to the thickness of reservoir, a time-lapse seismic "relative difference method"(the ratio of monitoring data to base data) not affected by the thickness of reservoir but only related to the change of fluid saturation, is proposed through seismic forward modeling after fluid displacement simulation. Given the same change of fluid saturation, the absolute difference of time-lapse seismic conforms to the law of "tuning effect" and seismic reflection of "thin bed", and the remaining oil prediction method based on absolute difference of time-lapse seismic is only applicable to the reservoirs with uniform thickness smaller than the tuning thickness or with thickness greater than the tuning thickness. The relative difference of time-lapse seismic is not affected by reservoir thickness, but only related to the change of fluid saturation. It is applicable to all the deep-sea unconsolidated sandstone reservoirs which can exclude the effect of pressure, temperature, pore type and porosity on seismic. Therefore, the relation between the relative difference of time-lapse seismic and the change of fluid saturation, which is obtained from seismic forward modeling after Gassmann fluid displacement simulation, can be used to quantitatively predict the change of reservoir water saturation and then the distribution of the remaining oil. The application of this method in deep sea Zeta oil field in west Africa shows that it is reasonable and effective. 展开更多

目前"十三五"进程过半,开展油气资源勘探开发规划中期评估,及时发现趋势性、风险性问题,提出加强和改善意见建议,有助于增强国内油气资源的供给能力。为此,基于我国《石油发展"十三五"规划》《天然气发展"十三... 目前"十三五"进程过半,开展油气资源勘探开发规划中期评估,及时发现趋势性、风险性问题,提出加强和改善意见建议,有助于增强国内油气资源的供给能力。为此,基于我国《石油发展"十三五"规划》《天然气发展"十三五"规划》等专项规划,结合国内外经济形势,评估了上述规划实施以来的油气储量与产量目标完成情况、重点任务实施进展情况,探讨了目前面临的主要问题,并提出了增强规划实施的意见和建议。评估结果表明:①截至2018年底,我国石油、天然气、煤层气和页岩气新增探明地质储量基本达到规划预期,相继发现鄂尔多斯盆地南梁、环江等多个亿吨级油田,鄂尔多斯盆地苏里格气田和四川盆地安岳气田等多个千亿立方米级大气田;②石油产量连续3年下降,天然气产量稳步增加,呈现出"油降气增"的态势,油气可持续发展形势较为严峻。结论认为:①规划执行情况总体良好,"十三五"后期需要切实采取有效措施,全力推进油气储量、产量持续增长,保障国家能源供应安全;②深层、深水盆地油气将成为未来增储上产的重点区域,是我国油气资源勘探开发的重要战略接替区;③非常规油气增储上产比重将逐步增大,致密油气、页岩气、煤层气和天然气水合物等非常规油气资源成为增储的重要组成部分;④我国将进入天然气储量、产量快速增长阶段。 展开更多

Crop yield is primarily seed-filling-limited in production system under field conditions.This study was aimed to determine whether seed filling traits of oil flax(Linum usitatissimum L.)could be controlled by phosphorus(P),nitrogen(N),and phosphorus and nitrogen(NP)supply.Effects on seed filling traits were investigated in 2 years including capsule diameter,capsule height,capsule dry matter(DM),seed DM per capsule,pericarp DM per capsule,protein content and oil content.DM translocation from pericarps to seed,translocation efficiency,and contribution of photoassimilates during seed filling period were also detected.In a randomized complete block design,cultivar'Longyaza 1'was grown under P(33 kg P/ha),N(75 kg N/ha),and NP(33 kg P/ha and 75 kg N/ha)along with a zerofertilizer(CK)treatment in 2013 and 2014.Results suggested that DM translocation efficiency and contribution efficiency increased to different extent due to P,N or NP application.At 42 DAA(days after anthesis),seed DM per capsule reached the greatest,while protein content and pericarp DM obtained the least level.However,the highest oil content was detected at 35 DAA.A significant positive linear relationship was observed between seed DM,capsule DM and DM translocation in both years.Protein content showed inconsistent relation with oil content.The results indicated that appropriate N and P management could be an effective approach to increase oil flax production. 展开更多

This paper summarizes the latest achievements and technological progress in oil and gas production engineering of China National Petroleum Corporation(CNPC) and discusses the main four challenges faced: developing low quality resource at low oil price;keeping stable production of mature oilfields when well oil production drops year by year;low systematic efficiency, high cost, prominent environmental protection issue and short of technological strategy for high water cut ratio and high oil recovery ratio oilfields;and lacking of high level horizontal well drilling and completion technology to develop unconventional and deep reservoirs. Three technological development directions to address these challenges are put forward: developing fracture controlling stimulation and well factory to produce low quality resource economically, developing re-fracturing technology for old wells in mature oilfields, promoting the fourth generation separate layer water injection technology to stabilize the production of mature oilfields;innovating new technologies of water flooding with nano-material, injecting and producing through one well. 展开更多

Achievable supercooling for the formation of methane hydrate from water emulsions was studied in seven different crude oils and in decane.The experiments were performed under constant rate cooling from+20 to-15°C and a pressure of methane of 12 MPa.It was demonstrated that the shapes and positions of the resulting survival curves depend on the density,viscosity and dispersive power of oil samples used in the experiments,as well as on the degree of oil oxidation.In addition,results of the experiments on ice freezing under the same emulsions are presented.The results obtained in the work allowed us to discuss the possibility and features of primary and secondary nucleation of the hydrate and ice in the systems under consideration. 展开更多

The global oil and gas industry has a long standing initiative to develop and use the most environment friendly solutions in the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas resources to prevent any damage or degradation of other marine and terrestrial resources. This is reflected by increasing research in academics, research institutes and organizations around the globe to develop better and more environment friendly base fluids, viscosifiers, fluid loss additives, emulsifiers, lubricants, etc. to protect the local, regional and global environments, eco-systems, habitats and also the OHS of workers and professionals working in the oil and gas industry. This paper describes the development, testing and evaluation of several novel additives to demonstrate their suitability for oil and gas field applications to avoid any negative impact to the surrounding environment. Experimental results indicate that the newly developed additives provide desirable, similar or better performance with respect to conventional additives used by the industry and thus demonstrate their suitability for application in aqueous and non-aqueous fluid design. The plant-based organic additive identified to use as an ecofriendly viscosifier for aqueous mud system can also control the fluid loss behavior of clay free system and thus can act as a bi-functional additive. Several waste vegetable oil-based eco-friendly additives have been developed for their application as spotting fluids, base oil and emulsifiers for invert emulsion oil based mud. These additives have similar or better technical performance than the equivalents and the eco-friendly nature of the mud additives demonstrates their ability to perform the functional tasks with better protection of the surrounding environments. 展开更多

Objective: Black bean aphid(Aphis fabae) is one of the most important greenhouse and crop pests with a wide range of hosts, which causes damages through feeding on vegetable sap and transmitting viral diseases. Currently, chemical methods are mainly used to control this pest. Considering the adverse effects of pesticides, it is essential to apply less chemical pesticide in pest control programs. The lethal and sublethal effects of the essential oil(EO) of Teucrium polium leaves on one-day-old adults of black bean aphid were investigated under laboratory conditions.Method: The bioassay was evaluated at the concentrations of 0.88-12 μL/L air, for 24 h after treatment.Reproductive life table parameters of new emerged aphid surveyed at sub-lethal concentrations(LC20 and LC40) of EO and the biological reproductive table was calculated by Jackknife method.Results: The mortality rate increased significantly with the increasing of EO concentration. The estimated LC50 value was 4.5 μL/L air. Laboratory exposure to sublethal concentrations of EO caused significant decrease in adult female longevity and fertility of surviving aphids and as a result caused significant reduction in the intrinsic rate of natural increase(rmvalue).Conclusion: The results of this study revealed that EO of T. polium could be used as a potential control agent for the aphid. 展开更多

Core, well logging and seismic data were used to investigate sandbody architectural characteristics within Lower Member of Minghuazhen Formation in Neogene, Bohai BZ25 Oilfield, and to analyze the sedimentary microfacies, distribution and internal architecture characteristics of the bar finger within shoal water delta front. The branched sand body within shoal water delta front is the bar finger, consisting of the mouth bar, distributary channel over bar, and levee. The distributary channel cuts through the mouth bar, and the thin levee covers the mouth bar which is located at both sides of distributary channel. The bar finger is commonly sinuous and its sinuosity increases basinward. The distributary channel changes from deeply incising the mouth bar to shallowly incising top of the mouth bar.The aspect ratio ranges from 25 to 50 and there is a double logarithmic linear positive relationship between the width and thickness for the bar finger, which is controlled by base-level changing in study area. For the bar finger, injection and production in the same distributary channel should be avoided during water flooding development. In addition, middle–upper distributary channel and undrilled mouth bar are focus of tapping remaining oil. 展开更多

The electro-hydraulic servo cylinder, as its power actuator, requires low friction, good lateral load resistance and high speed motion. The electro-hydraulic servo cylinder hydrostatic bearing seal guide sleeve is taken as the research object in this paper. By using Fluent software to analyze and contrast the film characteristics of rectangular and I-shaped oil chamber of hydrostatic bearing seal guide sleeve, the relationship between piston rod moving speed, eccentricity, oil film carrying capacity, friction force and leakage volume, as well as the relationship between oil feed flow and oil film bearing capacity, friction force, inlet pressure and leakage volume were analyzed. This study provides a theoretical basis for optimizing the static pressure bearing seal parameters. 展开更多
