It is now more than 3 years since the ratification of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development framework[1]but,according to the latest progress report,unless the rate of progress increases,it is challenging that all of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)will be achieved by 2030[2].With only 11 years remaining until the 2030 deadline,it has become imperative to develop a plan of action to enable the full agenda to be realized.Specifically,there is an urgent need for a holistic approach to clarify the interrelationships between the 17 SDGs,while also taking into account their complexity and their sometimes mutually reinforcing or conflicting nature.Trying to achieve these goals separately in succession is nonsensical,but pursuing them simultaneously is impractical[3]. 展开更多

In order to further ensure that the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is to be implemented and the action measures of all countries are consistent, the United Nations has put forward a set of indicators to monitor and evaluate the progress of global sustainable development. This set of evaluation indicators is aimed for global and regional progress. An important feature of the evaluation indicators is that they are internationally comparable, but due to the large differences in the levels of sustainable development among countries, this framework of evaluation indicators has a disadvantage that it does not apply to tracking the progress of sustainable development at the national level. This paper focuses on the analysis of specific issues in the application of the global sustainable development indicators framework to meet the goals and targets of the UN and builds a system of evaluation indicators to assess the progress of sustainable development at the national level in China, and offers a perspective to assess China’s progress as well. 展开更多

Here,we report the synthesis of hard carbon materials(RH) made from natural rice husk through a single pyrolysis process and their application as an anode in sodium-ion batteries.The studies show that the electrochemical properties of RHs are affected by the treatment temperatures,which determine the materials morphology,in particular,their degree of graphitization and extent of continuous channels(nanovoids).The latter are accessible to sodium ions and significantly contribute to charge storage capacity of the produced anodes.The RHs obtained at 1600 °C deliver the highest reversible capacity of276 mAh g-1 mainly due to insertion of sodium ions into the nanovoids.This work deepens the basic understanding of the influence of the carbonization temperature on the sodium storage mechanism. 展开更多

It should be noted that the development of rural tourism is perspective and it gives opportunity to fully use the potential of populated rural area. The objective of research is to study the opportunities of rural tourism development in Georgia and in mountainous region of Adjara. Therefore, the main questions discussed in paper are: to analyze the employment opportunities for the population of rural areas;to foresee the possible secondary income, how to reduce the migration of rural population, especially the youth;possibility to supply the locally produced goods and service and to increase their awareness;and possibilities to develop the industries related to tourism. The joint efforts of government, municipal authorities, and business providers, with the involvement of rural area inhabitants are essential for the development of populated rural territories. The special attention should be addressed to the social initiatives and economic activities of local people through the involvement in the tourism sector development. Molecular mechanism underlying Piriformospora indica-mediated plant improvement/protection for sustainable agriculture

The beneficial endophytic microorganisms have received significant attention in agriculture because of their exceptional capabilities to facilitate functions like nutrient enrichment,water status,and stress tolerance(biotic and abiotic).This review signifies the molecular mechanisms to better understand the Piriformospora indica-mediated plants improvement or protection for sustainable agriculture.P.indica,an endophytic fungus,belonging to the order Sebacinales(Basidiomycota),is versatile in building mutualistic associations with a variety of plants including pteridophytes,bryophytes,gymnosperms,and angiosperms.P.indica has enormous potential to manipulate the hormonal pathway such as the production of indole-3-acetic acid which in turn increases root proliferation and subsequently improves plant nutrient acquisition.P.indica also enhances components of the antioxidant system and expression of stress-related genes which induce plant stress tolerance under adverse environmental conditions.P.indica has tremendous potential for crop improvement because of its multi-dimensional functions such as plant growth promotion,immunomodulatory effect,biofertilizer,obviates biotic(pathogens)and abiotic(metal toxicity,water stress,soil structure,salt,and pH)stresses,phytoremediator,and bio-herbicide.Considering the above points,herein,we reviewed the physiological and molecular mechanisms underlying P.indica-mediated plants improvement or protection under diverse agricultural environment.The first part of the review focuses on the symbiotic association of P.indica with special reference to biotic and abiotic stress tolerance and host plant root colonization mechanisms,respectively.Emphasis is given to the expression level of essential genes involved in the processes that induce changes at the cellular level.The last half emphasizes critical aspects related to the seed germination,plant yield,and nutrients acquisition. 展开更多

It is very important for organization to deal with and balance the challenge of environmental complexity and inner resources scarcity. This study considers total quality management (TQM) as a factor linking internal and external of organization and executive ability as linkage to promote and coordinate internal-external elements and then organization obtains its sustainable competitive advantage. The research surveyed effective samples 252 and used Structural Equation Model (SEM) and discriminated analysis for analysis and testing. The results indicate that TQM positively affects executive ability and firm sustainable competitive advantage. Executive ability affects firm sustainable competitive advantage and has the mediating effect between TQM and firm sustainable competitive advantage. Managerial practice implications, limitations, and future research directions have been discussed. 展开更多

A simple one-pot non-isocyanate route for synthesizing thermoplastic polyureas is presented.In situ urethanization was conducted from the ring-opening reaction of ethylene carbonate with poly(propylene glycol)bis(2-aminopropyl ether)and hexanediamine,m-xylylenediamine,or diethylene glycol bis(3-aminopropyl)ether at 100℃for 6 h under normal pressure.Melt transurethane polycondensation was successively conducted at 170℃under a reduced pressure of 399 Pa for different time periods.A series of non isocyanate thermoplastic polyureas(NI-TPUreas)were prepared.The NI-T PUreas were characterized by gel permeation chromatography,FTIR,1H-NMR,differential scanning calorimetry,thermogravimetric analysis,wide-angle X-ray diffraction,atomic force microscopy,and tensile test.NI-TPU reas exhibited Mn of up to 1.67×10^4 g/mol,initial decomposition temperature over 290℃,and tensile strength of up to 32 MPa.Several crystallizable NI-TPUreas exhibited Tm exceeding 98℃.NI-TPUreas with good thermal and mechanical properties were prepared through a green and simple one-pot non-isocyanate route. 展开更多

Based on this, the current development situation of rural tourism industry in China and seven classical models of rural tourism were expounded in this study, and the problems and drawbacks in the process of planning and development were deeply analyzed, then the integration method was proposed, so as to achieve the integration of rural tourism development and ecological civilization construction from the perspectives of tourism ecology and ecotourism. 展开更多

Evaluating the Geomorphological Features and Geotourism Potentials of Harmankaya Canyon (Bilecik, Turkey) 预览

Harmankaya Canyon is located within boundaries of Karahasanlar settlement near Yenipazar district and Harmankoy settlement near Inhisar district in the east of the province of Bilecik. It was declared an area of nature protection under the name of "Harmankaya Canyon Nature Park" in 2012 by the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs. This study introduces Harmankaya Canyon, in the first place, by discussing its geomorphological characteristics, which play a significant role in the declaration of canyon as a nature park, along with the formation. Then, it discusses the potentials born by the canyon as a newly emerging destination of geotourism. Harmankaya Canyon was created by Harmankoy Stream, one tributary of Sakarya River, within Bilecik limestones of Mesozoic age. The canyon is 2.3 km long and 650-700 m deep, with a difference of altitude of 136 m between the entrance and the exit. Having quite an impressive view, the canyon was mainly formed as a result of fluvial processes under the control of lithological, tectonic, and climatic factors together.Thanks to its geomorphological characteristics, the Harmankaya Canyon Nature Park offers both sports and social attractions, like geotourism bound by geographical formations, canyoning relying on natural sources, trekking, rock-climbing, rafting, paragliding, and photography. Considering its location close to the larger Turkish cities, such as Istanbul, Bursa, Kocaeli, and Eskisehir and accessibility, the Harmankaya Canyon Nature Park is thought to meet all criteria for a destination of day-trips and weekend excursions for a relief from urban stress or for indulging in nature. SWOT (Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis was performed to unveil the touristic potential of the canyon. Current global agricultural production must feed over 7 billion people.However,productivity varies greatly across the globe and is under threat from both increased competitions for land and climate change and associated environmental deterioration.Moreover,the increase in human population size and dietary changes are putting an ever greater burden on agriculture.The majority of this burden is met by the cultivation of a very small number of species,largely in locations that differ from their origin of domestication.Recent technological advances have raised the possibility of de novo domestication of wild plants as a viable solution for designing ideal crops while maintaining food security and a more sustainable lowinput agriculture.Here we discuss how the discovery of multiple key domestication genes alongside the development of technologies for accurate manipulation of several target genes simultaneously renders de novo domestication a route toward crops for the future. 展开更多

Th can be mined with relatively cheap and environment friendly mining methods from high grade alluvial deposits. Th extraction is relatively straightforward and inexpensive. Th has better radiation stability and longer fuel cycle. Th has a higher energy density and fuel economy in the reactors. One ton of mined Th produces as much energy as 200 tons of mined U, or 3.5 million tons of coal. World’s global energy needs for one year can be supplied by approximately burning 6000 tons of Th. Since Th is an abundant and sustainable source of energy for the future, developing countries cannot afford to ignore. Molten salt and accelerator driven reactors have been developed for Th-fuel. Turkey has the sixth biggest Th resources in the world and must declare Th as part of countries national power policy like China and India. 展开更多
