Teachers are the obligatory ingredients in enhancing the effective learning process at university through their keen potential for quality of teaching, research, and management. The faculty of agricultural universities in Pakistan is striving for productive agriculture education and research. Teachers possessing prevailing sense of self-efficacy are intrinsically motivated and additionally challenge themselves by multifarious tasks. The study was conducted to observe the self-efficacy levels of agricultural universities teachers at Faisalabad and Rawalpindi with respect to three particular domains named as teaching, research, and management. Stratified random sampling technique was used. From target population four strata, i.e., professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and lecturers were considered. As a result, 100 (59%) teachers from University of Agriculture Faisalabad and 67 (40.1%) teachers from PirMehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi participated in the study as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire as an instrument of research. Pilot study was done on a sample of 24 teachers. Data were analyzed by using t-test and ANOVA test. High level of efficacy in terms of teaching, research, and management was found;teachers were fully confident in their beliefs to accomplish intended tasks. Teachers having less administrative tasks reported better performance in related tasks. 展开更多

Interaction of silver nanoparticles with mediterranean agricultural soils: Lab-controlled adsorption and desorption studies

The production of silver nanoparticles(AgNPs) has increased tremendously during recent years due to their antibacterial and physicochemical properties. As a consequence, these particles are released inevitably into the environment, with soil being the main sink of disposal. Soil interactions have an effect on AgNP mobility, transport and bioavailability. To understand AgNP adsorption processes, lab-controlled kinetic studies were performed.Batch tests performed with five different Mediterranean agricultural soils showed that cation exchange capacity and electrical conductivity are the main parameters controlling the adsorption processes. The adsorption kinetics of different sized(40, 75, 100 and 200 nm)and coated(citrate, polyvinylpyrrolidone and polyethyleneglycol(PEG)) AgNPs indicated that these nanoparticle properties have also an effect on the adsorption processes.To assess the mobility and bioavailability of AgNPs and to determine if their form is maintained during adsorption/desorption processes, loaded soils were submitted to leaching tests three weeks after batch adsorption studies. The DIN 38414-S4 extraction method indicated that AgNPs were strongly retained on soils, and single-particle inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry confirmed that silver particles maintained their nanoform, except for 100 nm PEG-AgNPs and 40 nm citrate-coated AgNPs. The DTPA(diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid) leaching test was more effective in extracting silver,but there was no presence of AgNPs in almost all of these leachates. 展开更多

Based on the concept of green development, this paper attempts to explore the implementation path of structural reform of agricultural supply side from four aspects: industrial structure change, agricultural operation subject innovation, agricultural product brand construction and government safeguard measures. In recent years, with the rapid development of China's fresh market, cold chain logistics ushered in a new development opportunity. Because of the late start and slow development of cold chain logistics in China, it is difficult to achieve cross-regional and offseason sales activities, resulting in a situation of high output and small sales volume, which is also an important reason for the high price and poor quality of fresh agricultural products. With the passage of time, the characteristics of cold chain distribution of agricultural products have become an important direction for the future development of logistics industry. In this paper, aiming at the characteristics of agricultural cold chain distribution, the carbon emissions in the process of distribution were quantified as costs and added to the total cost, and an optimization model of agricultural cold chain logistics path with time window considering the minimum total cost as the objective function was constructed. The improved genetic algorithm was used to solve the problem. The simulation results show that the improved genetic algorithm is an effective method to solve the optimization problem of agricultural cold-chain logistics path considering carbon emissions, and has guiding significance for the selection of low-carbon and environmentally friendly distribution routes for agricultural cold-chain logistics distribution enterprises. 展开更多

现阶段,我国正处于社会发展转型的重要时期,经济收入及各种社会资源在分配过程当中存在较大的差异。结合农科类大学实际情况来讲,大学生弱势群体从数量上来讲整体上呈现出不断上升的发展趋势。可以说,这既是现阶段农科类大学受教育群体... 现阶段,我国正处于社会发展转型的重要时期,经济收入及各种社会资源在分配过程当中存在较大的差异。结合农科类大学实际情况来讲,大学生弱势群体从数量上来讲整体上呈现出不断上升的发展趋势。可以说,这既是现阶段农科类大学受教育群体特征变化的一个集中表现,也是农科类大学教育发展所必需解决的重点问题。从就业层面来讲,大学生弱势群体由于生活质量较为低劣,承受能力较为脆弱,导致其在就业意识及就业行为表现上存在较大偏失,严重影响和制约着其今后的就业及发展。对此,本文提出在积极心理学的引导之下,针对农科类大学生弱势群体开展就业指导帮扶的思路,着眼于大学生弱势群体自助解决问题的意识及能力的培养,化施助为自助;着眼于大学生弱势群体积极潜能的开发,化惩戒为鼓励;着眼于大学生弱势群体对幸福生活的追求,化消极为希望。由此,实现大学生弱势群体就业观念的改进,职业能力的提升以及职业素养的形成等。最终,促进农科类大学生弱势群体实现全面发展。 展开更多

According to the data of the total trade of agricultural products between China and the United States from 2009 to 2018 and the general description of agriculture in China,this paper adopts the method of econometric model to make a detailed analysis of the agricultural trade between China and the United States by using cointegration analysis,Granger causality test and error correction model in order to explore the impact of agricultural trade between China and the United States on China’s agricultural development. The results of empirical analysis show that there is a balanced relationship between the trade of agricultural products between China and the United States and the development of agriculture in China. The total trade of agricultural products between China and the United States affects the development of China’s agriculture.In addition,in the short term,if the short-term fluctuation deviates from the long-term equilibrium,then the error correction term will reverse it with strength of 0. 378,so that the non-equilibrium state will gradually return to the equilibrium state. 展开更多

Agriculture practices have been widely proposed as the major cause of amphibian population decline.However,the majority of these results have been based on laboratory experiments.The present study was conducted to test the repercussion of wetland sediment provenance on amphibian larval development.Bufo bufo larvae were used in two different treatments in an outdoor experiment,the first one using sediment from one wetland surrounded by intensive agricultural practices,and the second using sediment with no record of agrochemical uses.A negative effect was observed in the agricultural treatment,from subcellular to individual level.The results showed that the sediment from agricultural practices watershed generates a reduction in survival.Furthermore,individuals that developed under this treatment showed a lower total length and a delay in the time necessary to complete metamorphosis;these features are connected with recruitment success.In the same way,biochemical analysis showed high values of lipid peroxidation in metamorphs developing in sediments from an agricultural area.Finally,the results obtained highlight the importance of considering the sediments,not only the water,as origin treatment,allowing us to understand the consequences on amphibian populations that inhabit areas affected by intensive agriculture. 展开更多
