As the economy increases its dependence on the internet to increase efficiency and productivity in all aspects of society, close attention has been directed to solve the challenges related to internet security. Despite the large amount of resource invested so far in this area, cybersecurity challenges are still great as the media frequently report new cyber breaches. Although researchers acknowledge that great progress has been made in protecting digital assets, cybercriminals are still successful in their operations which are no longer limited to government entities and corporations but also individual computer users. To improve users’ security posture, the researcher examined the relationship between Millennials’ perceptions of cybersecurity threat, users’ online security behaviors and avoidance motivation. The study focused on three constructs which are Perceived Threat (PTH), Online Security Behaviors (OSB) and Avoidance Motivation (AMO). The researcher administered a survey to 109 participants randomly selected in the United States. The Spearman’s correlation test performed supported the analysis of the strength of the relationship and the level of significance between the independent variable and the dependent variables. The results from the statistical test provided enough evidence to fail to reject the null hypothesis related to relationships between PTH and OSB and to reject the null hypothesis regarding the relationship between PTH and AMO. 展开更多

However, the characteristics of social behavior have not been entirely explored in these males. In this study, male wild-type tree shrews(Tupaia belangeri chinensis)and C57 BL/6 J mice were first allowed to familiarize themselves with an open-field apparatus. The tree shrews exhibited a short duration of movement(moving) in the novel environment, whereas the mice exhibited a long duration of movement. In the 30 min social preference-avoidance test, target animals significantly decreased the time spent by the experimental tree shrews in the social interaction(SI)zone, whereas experimental male mice exhibited the opposite. In addition, experimental tree shrews displayed a significantly longer latency to enter the SI zone in the second 15 min session(targetpresent) than in the first 15 min session(targetabsent), which was different from that found in mice.Distinct behavioral patterns in response to a conspecific male were also observed in male tree shrews and mice in the first, second, and third 5 min periods. Thus, social behaviors in tree shrews and mice appeared to be time dependent. In summary,our study provides results of a modified social preference-avoidance test designed for the assessment of social behavior in tree shrews. Our findings demonstrate the existence of social avoidance behavior in male tree shrews and prosocial behavior in male mice toward unfamiliar conspecifics. The tree shrew may be a new animal model, which differs from mice, for the study of social avoidance and prosocial behaviors. 展开更多

The rapidly increasing volume of goodwill assets in the capital market generates potential risks due to the possibility of an untimely recognition of goodwill impairment.In this paper,we investigate the financial consequences of goodwill impairment avoidance based on firms’future performance and stock prices.Using Chinese A-share listed firms with goodwill balances,we find that avoiding goodwill impairments negatively affects a firm’s performance growth and increases its risk of a future stock price crash.These adverse effects continue for the three years following the goodwill impairment avoidance.Our results indicate that goodwill impairment avoidance has detrimental impacts on a firm’s future performance and stock price and that these impacts are persistent.Our conclusions are helpful for regulators on how to prevent the risks hidden in goodwill impairment recognition and maintain the stable development of the financial market. 展开更多

Deeper rooting 1(Dro1)and Deeper rooting 2(Dro2)are the QTLs that contribute considerably to root growth angle assisting in deeper rooting of rice plant.In the present study,a set of 348 genotypes were shortlisted from rice germplasm based on root angle study.Screening results of the germplasm lines under drought stress identified 25 drought tolerant donor lines based on leaf rolling,leaf drying,spikelet fertility and single plant yield.A panel containing 101 genotypes was constituted based on screening results and genotyped using Dro1 and Dro2 markers.Structure software categorized the genotypes into four sub-populations with different fixation index values for root growth angle.The clustering analysis and principal coordinate analysis could differentiate the genotypes with or without deeper rooting trait.The dendrogram constructed based on the molecular screening for deep rooting QTLs showed clear distinction between the rainfed upland cultivars and irrigated genotypes.Eleven genotypes,namely Dular,Tepiboro,Surjamukhi,Bamawpyan,N22,Dinorado,Karni,Kusuma,Bowdel,Lalsankari and Laxmikajal,possessed both the QTLs,whereas 67 genotypes possessed only Dro1.The average angle of Dro positive genotypes ranged from 82.7°to 89.7°.These genotypes possessing the deeper rooting QTLs can be taken as donor lines to be used in marker-assisted breeding programs. 展开更多

We analyzed and improved a collision avoidance strategy, which was supported by Long Term EvolutionVehicle(LTE-V)-based Vehicle-to-Vehicle(V2 V) communication, for automated vehicles. This work was completed in two steps. In the first step, we analyzed the probability distribution of message transmission time, which was conditional on transmission distance and vehicle density. Our analysis revealed that transmission time exhibited a near-linear increase with distance and density. We also quantified the trade-off between high/low resource reselection probabilities to improve the setting of media access parameters. In the second step, we studied the required safety distance in accordance with the response time, i.e., the transmission time, derived on the basis of a novel concept of Responsibility-Sensitive Safety(RSS). We improved the strategy by considering the uncertainty of response time and its dependence on vehicle distance and density. We performed theoretical analysis and numerical testing to illustrate the effectiveness of the improved robust RSS strategy. Our results enhance the practicability of building driverless highways with special lanes reserved for the exclusive use of LTE-V vehicles. 展开更多

First, a questionnaire survey was performed to identify driver type, and the corresponding driving behavioral data were collected via driving simulator experiments, which served as the template data for the online identification of driver type. Then, the driveradaptive ACC/CA fusion control strategy was designed, and its effect was verified by virtual experiments. The results indicate that the proposed control strategy could achieve the fusion control of ACC and CA successfully and improve driver adaptability and comfort. 展开更多

Recent years have witnessed a booming of the industry of civil Unmanned Aircraft System(UAS).As an emerging industry,the UAS industry has been attracting great attention from governments of all countries and the aviation industry.UAS are highly digitalized,informationized,and intelligent;therefore,their integration into the national airspace system has become an important trend in the development of civil aviation.However,the complexity of UAS operation poses great challenges to the traditional aviation regulatory system and technical means.How to prevent collisions between UASs and between UAS and manned aircraft to achieve safe and efficient operation in the integrated operating airspace has become a common challenge for industry and academia around the world.In recent years,the international community has carried out a great amount of work and experiments in the air traffic management of UAS and some of the key technologies.This paper attempts to make a review of the UAS separation management and key technologies in collision avoidance in the integrated airspace,mainly focusing on the current situation of UAS Traffic Management(UTM),safety separation standards,detection system,collision risk prediction,collision avoidance,safety risk assessment,etc.,as well as an analysis of the bottlenecks that the current researches encountered and their development trends,so as to provide some insights and references for further research in this regard.Finally,this paper makes a further summary of some of the research highlights and challenges. 展开更多

With the ever-growing number of base stations(BSs)and user equipments(UEs)in ultra-dense networks(UDN),reusing the same pilot sequences among the cells is inevitable.With pilot reuse scheme,the channel estimation obtained at a BS contains not only the desired channel-state information(CSI)but also interference from neighboring cells,which can severely degrade CSI estimation performance and adversely affect communication performance.In this paper we consider a pilot contamination avoidance based on pilot pattern design for UDN where the pilot reuse employed and the interfering users from neighboring cells may be not at lower power levels at the BS compared to the in-cell users.We present a novel statistical interference model of sub-carriers to describe the non-deterministic interference from neighboring cells.Then,we provide a pilot pattern design model with non-uniform pilot distribution.Based on this,a pilot contamination avoidance based on pilot pattern design is proposed where pilot reuse scheme and the non-deterministic interference from neighboring cells are taken into consideration.Unlike existing interference mitigation approaches,the proposed method eliminates interference through the method of interference avoidance and can be applied to different kinds of channel estimation algorithms.Simulation results showed that the proposed approach can effectively avoid the interference and ensure the accuracy of channel estimation. 展开更多

In this study,a neural adaptive controller is developed for a ground experiment with a spacecraft proximity operation.As the water resistance in the experiment is highly nonlinear and can significantly affect the fidelity of the ground experiment,the water resistance must be estimated accurately and compensated using an active force online.For this problem,a novel control algorithm combined with Chebyshev Neural Networks(CNN)and an Active Disturbance Rejection Control(ADRC)is proposed.Specifically,the CNN algorithm is used to estimate the water resistance.The advantage of the CNN estimation is that the coefficients of the approximation can be adaptively changed to minimize the estimation error.Combined with the ADRC algorithm,the total disturbance is compensated in the experiment to improve the fidelity.The dynamic model of the spacecraft proximity maneuver in the experiment is established.The ground experiment of the proximity maneuver that considers an obstacle is provided to verify the efficiency of the proposed controller.The results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the pure ADRC method and can achieve close-to-real-time performance for the spacecraft proximity maneuver. 展开更多

为真实反映水电工程天然河道中总溶解气体(Total Dissolved Gas,TDG)过饱和对鱼类影响的实际情况,选用胭脂鱼幼鱼和成鱼作为研究对象,开展大坝泄洪期间总溶解气体过饱和对鱼类影响的现场暴露试验,探究不同水深条件下鱼类对总溶解气体过... 为真实反映水电工程天然河道中总溶解气体(Total Dissolved Gas,TDG)过饱和对鱼类影响的实际情况,选用胭脂鱼幼鱼和成鱼作为研究对象,开展大坝泄洪期间总溶解气体过饱和对鱼类影响的现场暴露试验,探究不同水深条件下鱼类对总溶解气体过饱和的水体耐受性和回避特性。结果表明:天然河道中,TDG饱和度为115%~117%时,胭脂鱼幼鱼在0~0.3,0.3~1.3,1.3~2.3,0~2.3 m 4个水层死亡率分别为42.5%,30%,7.5%,15%;低TDG饱和度水体也可导致胭脂鱼幼鱼死亡。但随着水深的增加,死亡率呈明显下降趋势,说明补偿水深能有效缓解TDG过饱和水体对胭脂鱼幼鱼的伤害。此外,研究结果也表明胭脂鱼幼鱼具有利用补偿水深来回避TDG过饱和伤害的能力;而胭脂鱼成鱼利用补偿水深逃避TDG过饱和伤害的行为并不明显。研究结果可为鱼类保护措施的制定提供参考依据。 展开更多

The Bigu-herbs regimen,a Taoism(Taoism is an ancient Chinese Taoist philosophy system)special health-preserving technique to achieve longevity through strict abstinence from food,limits the intake of grains and uses herbs to replace normal diet to gain energy.Practicing Bigu-herbs regimen for several weeks to several years can make one lose weight,prevent diseases,and prolong life.The modern ketogenic diet(KD)mainly limits carbohydrate intake and increase fat intake.The low-carbohydrate,high-fat,and adequate protein diet is well known for its antiepileptic and neurotrophic effects.Limiting the intake of carbohydrate results in energy metabolism reprogramming to mobilize the steatolysis,energize and promote ketone bodies(KBs)production,achieving a state of nutritional ketosis(NK).The researchers summarized how ketone bodies or NK affects diseases and the aging process,as well as the side effects of KD.NK has a favorable effect on caloric intake,lipid parameters,glycemic index,and insulin sensitivity;moreover,it can be used as a treatment option for diabetes,obesity,and other metabolic disorders.NK is recognized as being neuroprotective and is good for epilepsy,Alzheimer’s disease,and emotional disturbance.Targeting the metabolic differences between tumor and normal cells,NK limits the use of glucose and impairs energy metabolism in cancer cells,inhibiting their growth and rendering them susceptible to clinical treatments.NK also affects inflammation and the release of cytokines,regulate gut flora,extend longevity and health span,and preserve physiologic functions.The side effects of KDs are controllable under the guidance of a specially trained dietitian and medical team. 展开更多
