Optimization and Sizing of a Stand-Alone Photovoltaic System and Assessment of Random Load Fluctuation on Power Supply 认领

This study presents an optimization technique and design for a stand-alone photovoltaic (PV) system to provide the required electricity for a single residential household in remote areas. From the basic solar components analysis, the irradiance on tilted surface is derived and compared to that on horizontal surface for Furu-Awa locality to infer the appropriate tilt angle (β) that maximizes the collection of solar energy. Seven optimum values of β applicable to the PV network were then derived depending of the period of the year and this simulation resulted that the panels are to be adjusted seven times a year. The optimization technique for load demand based on total apparent power of the household appliances produces an increase of 18% compared to the simple case of the PV components design using active power but leads to the optimum configuration that meets the real load demand of the household. Following the sizing of the station, reliability tests simulations were conducted for a one year corresponding period to infer the sensitivity of power supply to initial state of charge, to check the system autonomy and to evaluate the effect of random variation of the load on the smooth functioning of the PV system using a pseudo random number generator. This analysis shows that the minimum capacity of the battery for normal run of the Plan is 22.2% and that with random fluctuation of load, there will be periods of the year where the system experiences power failure depending on how important is the variation. The result of the study may imply a small increase in the cost of the entire plant but improves the stability and flexibility of such a station. 展开更多

This document presents the evaluation and the monitoring of the performances of the first grid-connected photovoltaic system installed in the Center of Studies and Researches on the Renewable Energies (CERER) inaugurated on December 4th, 2012 by the governmental authorities of Senegal and Tenerife. This mini power plant of 3.15 kWc is a perfect example of the political will of the government which is to reduce the production cost of the electricity, with the diversification of the sources of production, and the greater use of the other sources such as the natural gas, the coal, the renewable energies. The evaluation of the performances of the installation is realized by using the indicators of efficiency and performance as the photovoltaic surface yield, the ratio of photovoltaic performance, the photovoltaic specific yield, and the losses of captures. The obtained results show that a big part of the energy shone during the period of observation was not able to be used further to circumstances such as the losses of conductivity, the heat losses or for example the defects on components. The analysis also shows that a large part of the produced energy is not injected because of the dilapidation of the network, the defects of landing but especially one disjunction sees frequently at the level of the point of injection. 展开更多

The reports provided by these institutions present a large volume of data and information, this factor makes hard task of understanding the Brazilian photovoltaic market. Therefore, this paper purposes to present an overview about the development of photovoltaic generation in Brazil, through of an unpublished compilation and analysis of the data provided by the institutions previously cited. For this, initially<span><span><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span></span></span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">the factors that contributed to the implementation and expansion of this sector are presented. Following, it is presented the main resolutions for the implementation of distributed generation, as well as organizations responsible for the standardization, operation, testing and expected requirements for connection of renewable sources in the electrical system. Quantitative data about energy installed, number of installations approvals, distribution of installations by sector of society, number homologations by power range and cost distribution for the implementation of these systems are provided. The study is carried out by simulation with SCAPS (Solar Cell Capacitance Simulator) whose mathematical model is based on solving the equations of Poisson and continuity of electrons and holes. An electrical conversion efficiency of 23.58% is obtained by optimizing the mobility of the electrons (100 cm2/Vs), that of the holes (25 cm2/Vs), the density of electrons (1015 cm-3), the density of the effective states in the conduction band (7.9 × 1017 cm-3) and the electronic affinity (3.85 eV) of the CdTe absorbent layer. 展开更多

This article describes a technique that allows a photovoltaic (PV) production unit to obtain the maximum power at all times. Here, we use the MPPT control via fuzzy logic on a DC/DC boost-type converter. In order to achieve our goals, we first proceeded to model a PV panel. The resulting model offers the possibility to better account for the influence of different physical quantities such as temperature, irradiation, series resistance, shunt resistance and diode saturation current. Thus, the maximum power to be provided by the PV system is acquired by fuzzification and defuzzification of the input and output variables of the converter. Subsequently, a virtual model of an 800 Watt PV prototype is implemented in the Matlab environment. The simulation results obtained and presented, show the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed technology. Indeed, for a disturbance caused by a variation in brightness, our system guarantees the maximum stable power after 1.4</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">s. 本文为了研究光伏微网逆变器系统在施加随机扰动时的控制方法及性能,在光伏微网逆变器系统的公共连接点信号上施加随机扰动,并考虑随机扰动情况下进行建模,采用引入积分补偿的预测控制方法,既可预测系统未来的输出状态,也能消除静态误差... 本文为了研究光伏微网逆变器系统在施加随机扰动时的控制方法及性能,在光伏微网逆变器系统的公共连接点信号上施加随机扰动,并考虑随机扰动情况下进行建模,采用引入积分补偿的预测控制方法,既可预测系统未来的输出状态,也能消除静态误差,有效地抑制逆变器输出的电流、电压失真现象,保持系统的稳定性。基于MATLAB的Simulink平台搭建了逆变器系统仿真模型,仿真结果得到逆变器输出的电流、电压的总谐波失真度(THD)分别为0.57%、2.57%,满足国家电网对总谐波失真度(THD≤5%)的标准,并且保证了输出波形的稳定。研究表明:这种改进后的控制方法可使在有随机扰动情况下的单相光伏微网逆变器系统保持稳定,对光伏微网的理论和应用研究具有一定的参考价值。 展开更多

电力系统中光伏等分布式可再生能源快速发展,分布式屋顶光伏成为新型智能微电网的典型特征。为提高含高比例光伏微电网的稳定性和经济性,提出了利用居民侧灵活负荷调节以及储能设备充放电来实现的广义需求响应,从而增加微电网内光伏波... 电力系统中光伏等分布式可再生能源快速发展,分布式屋顶光伏成为新型智能微电网的典型特征。为提高含高比例光伏微电网的稳定性和经济性,提出了利用居民侧灵活负荷调节以及储能设备充放电来实现的广义需求响应,从而增加微电网内光伏波动性出力的消纳,降低智能微电网的运行成本。以居民住宅微电网为研究对象,基于连续仿真软件GridLAB-D建立了住宅模型、光伏发电模型、储能设备模型、气候和电力市场模型等,并提出了广义需求响应中灵活负荷和储能设备的控制算法。通过IEEE 13节点测试系统模型,验证了广义需求响应在智能微电网中的实施能够有效降低弃光率、节约用户用电成本,并能够协助主网系统减小负荷峰谷差。 展开更多

In this study,we report a new small molecule acceptor(named TT-4 F)which uses 3,6-dimethoxylthieno[3,2-b]thiophene(TT)as theπ-bridge.Addition of 0.05 weight ratio amount of TT-4 F into the host binary blend of PTB7-Th:IEICO-4 F,resulting in a ternary blend in a weight ratio of 1:1:0.05,enables increased open-circuit voltage(Voc),short-circuit curre nt-density(Jsc),and fill-factor(FF)at the same time.Finally,12.1%efficiency is obtained.Compared to the 3-(2-ethylhexyloxylthiophene)bridge on IEICO-4 F,the additional methoxyl group on the TT-6 position is involved in the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)and the largerπ-system on TT increases the electron-donating nature,both of which help to raise the LUMO level,one reason of the increased Voc.Upon addition of 0.05 TT-4 F,the hole mobility is increased,the monomolecular recombination is reduced,and the charge dissociation and collection is enhanced.All of these contribute to the increased Jsc and FF. 展开更多

Due to the characteristics of intermittent photovoltaic power generation and power fluctuations in distributed photovoltaic power generation,photovoltaic grid-connected systems are usually equipped with energy storage units.Most of the structures combined with energy storage are used as the DC side.At the same time,virtual synchronous generators have been widely used in distributed power generation due to their inertial damping and frequency and voltage regulation.For the PV-storage grid-connected system based on virtual synchronous generators,the existing control strategy has unclear function allocation,fluctuations in photovoltaic inverter output power,and high requirements for coordinated control of PV arrays,energy storage units,and photovoltaic inverters,which make the control strategy more complicated.In order to solve the above problems,a control strategy for PV-storage grid-connected system based on a virtual synchronous generator is proposed.In this strategy,the energy storage unit implements maximum power point tracking,and the photovoltaic inverter implements a virtual synchronous generator algorithm,so that the functions implemented by each part of the system are clear,which reduces the requirements for coordinated control.At the same time,the smooth power command is used to suppress the fluctuation of the output power of the photovoltaic inverter.The simulation validates the effectiveness of the proposed method from three aspects:grid-connected operating conditions,frequency-modulated operating conditions,and illumination sudden-drop operating condition.Compared with the existing control strategies,the proposed method simplifies the control strategies and stabilizes the photovoltaic inverter fluctuation in the output power of the inverter. 展开更多

Quaternary blended organic solar cells utilize four blended material components(one donor plus three acceptors, two donors and two acceptors, or three donors plus one acceptor) as the active layer materials. The use of four material components allows us to have more material selections and more mechanism choices to improve the photon-to-electron conversion efficiency. In this contribution, we present a new case of quaternary material system, that shows 17.1% efficiency obtained by adding IDIC and PC71BM as the guest acceptors of the host binary of PM6:Y6. The lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO) levels of IDIC and PC71BM are both higher than that of Y6, which is one reason to obtain increased open-circuit voltage(Voc) in the quaternary device. Upon introduction of IDIC and PC71BM as the acceptor guests, the hole and electron mobilities are both increased, which contributes to the increased short-circuit current-density(Jsc). Effects of the weight ratios of the three acceptor components are investigated, which demonstrates that the increased hole and electron mobilities, the accelerated hole-transfer, and the reduced monomolecular recombination are the factors contributing to the increased Jscand fill-factor. This case of quaternary device demonstrates the applicability of the quaternary strategy in increasing the device functions and hence the efficiencies in the field of organic photovoltaic cells. 展开更多
