A fluorescent Eu(Ⅲ) MOF for highly selective and sensitive sensing of picric acid

A metal-organic framework [Eu3L3(CH3COO)2(H2O)2(μ3-OH)]·3 DMF,(EuL, H2L=9H-carbazole-2,7-dicarboxylic acid,DMF=N,N-dimethylformamide) has been synthesized under solvothermal conditions and structurally characterized. In EuL,Eu6O8 clusters are four-bridged by carboxylates to form parallel-aligned Eu–O–C chains, which are further linked by the carbazole moieties of L2- ligands to form the three-dimensional framework with rhombic channels. The EuL material with characteristic emission of Eu3+ ion exhibits significant luminescence quenching response for picric acid(PA) and the linear Stern-Volmer plot was observed in the concentration range of 0.05–0.15 mM with Ksv of 98074 M-1. As far as we know, this Ksv is among the highest values for COFs and MOFs in detection of PA. The excellent anti-interference ability and repeatability were also verified by experiments. Lastly, we investigated the luminescence quenching mechanism in the EuL sensing system. 展开更多

Interfacial layer has a significant impact on the achievement of highly efficient organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Here,we introduced a nano-ZnMgO(magnesium doped ZnO,abbreviated as ZnMgO)as interfacial layer between[6,6]-Phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester(PC61 BM)layer and Al electrode to replace LiF or ZnO interlayer and enhance device performance.The device efficiency has been improved from 11.43%to 15.61%and the hysteresis was decreased dramatically.Such huge enhancement of power convert efficiency(PCE)can be attributed to the low dark current density,enhancement of electron-selective contact,and low energy barrier at the PC61 BM/Al interface.We suggest that this simple nano-scale interlayer can provide an efficient charge transport and extraction for highly efficient PSCs. 展开更多

Following the progression in Internet of Things(IoT)and 5G communication networks,the traditional cloud computing model have shifted to fog computing.Fog computing provides mobile computing,network control and storage to the network edges to assist latency critical and computation-intensive applications.Moreover,security features are improved in fog paradigm by processing critical data on edge devices instead of data centres outside the control plane of users.However,fog network deployment imposes many challenges including resource allocation,privacy of users,non-availability of programming model and testing software and support for the heterogenous networks.This article highlights these challenges and their potential solutions in detail.This article also discusses threetier fog network architecture,its standardization and benefits in detail.The proposed resource allocation mechanism for three tier fog networks based on swap matching is described.Results show that by practicing the proposed resource allocation mechanism,maximum throughput with reduced latency is achieved. 展开更多

Photonic-assisted microwave frequency identification with distinct features, including wide frequency coverage and fast tunability, has been conceived as a key technique for applications such as cognitive radio and dynamic spectrum access. The implementations based on compact integrated photonic chips have exhibited distinct advantages in footprint miniaturization, light weight, and low power consumption, in stark contrast with discrete optical-fiber-based realization. However, reported chip-based instantaneous frequency measurements can only operate at a single-tone input, which stringently limits their practical applications that require wideband identification capability in modern RF and microwave applications. In this article, we demonstrate, for the first time, a wideband, adaptive microwave frequency identification solution based on a silicon photonic integrated chip,enabling the identification of different types of microwave signals from 1 to 30 GHz, including single-frequency,multiple-frequency, chirped-frequency, and frequency-hopping microwave signals, and even their combinations.The key component is a high Q-factor scanning filter based on a silicon microring resonator, which is used to implement frequency-to-time mapping. This demonstration opens the door to a monolithic silicon platform that makes possible a wideband, adaptive, and high-speed signal identification subsystem with a high resolution and a low size, weight, and power(SWaP) for mobile and avionic applications. 展开更多

To address t... DNS-based server redirecting is considered the most popular means of deploying CDNs. However, with the inaeasing use of i"emol:e DNS, DNS-based CDNs face a great challenge in performance degradation. To address this issue, encouraging progress has been made in both industry and research communities. In this article,state-of- art solutions for the remote DNS problem are discussed at first. Next, privacy concerns about DNS-based CDNs, including client location as well as redirection privacy, are identified and a representative solution is summarized. Finally, the solution is compared to those in prior works under different measures, and a discussion on DNS-based CDN applications is provided. A model is also established to deepen the underst;anding of CDN performance. We believe that this survey will shed light on the application of DNS-based CDNs, and it is expected to provide design guidelines to CDN service providers. 展开更多

A series of novel hyperbranched polymers(HBPs) consisting of a 2,7-subsituted 9-(heptadecan-9-yl)-9H-carbazole unit(A_2+A_2') and a tetra-substituted green thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF) dye of 2,3,5,6-tetra(9Hcarbazol-9-yl)-4-pyridinecarbonitrile(4CzCNPy, B4) have been synthesized via Suzuki cross-coupling reaction following an 'A2+A2'+B_4' method. The polymers are named according to the polymerization ratio of 4CzCNPy monomer(5 mol%, 10 mol% and 15 mol% for HBPs of P2-P4 respectively, and 0 mol% for the control linear polymer P1). Their thermal, optoelectronic and electrochemical properties have been characterized by a combination of techniques. All the polymers exhibit high thermal stability with the decomposition temperatures(Td) above 400 ℃ and glass transition temperatures(Tg) up to 98 ℃. Unfortunately, the incorporation of TADF moiety into these HBP materials induced non-TADF characteristics. However, when the HBPs functionalized as the host for our previously developed 4CzCNPy TADF dopant in solution processed devices, maximum external quantum efficiency of 5.7% and current efficiency of 17.9 cd/A have been achieved in P3-based device, which is significantly higher than those of 1.5% and 4.2 cd/A for the linear polymer P1. 展开更多

Monitoring mitochondrial derived copper(Ⅱ) in live cells is highly demanded, but accurately detecting is unmet due to the interference with cytoplasmic copper(Ⅱ). Herein, we have reported the design,synthesis and characterization of photocontrollable fluorogenic probe, M_(Cu)~(-3), which is equipped with a photo-labile group(nitrobenzyl group) and mitochondria targeting unit(triphenylphosphonium salt).This novel probe showed an intense fluorescence enhancement in response to copper(Ⅱ) without interference from other metal cations in the biological condition(p H 6–9). The detection limit is 1.7 ×10~(-7) mol/L in HEPES buffer. The confocal fluorescence imaging results demonstrated M_(Cu)~(-3) can visualize mitochondrial copper(Ⅱ) in live mammalian cells. The clear advantage of our photocontrollable method is successful to avoid the influence of cytoplasmic copper(Ⅱ) during mitochondria specific detection. 展开更多

Multipath interference induced power fading occurs when the transmission path lengths from the light emitting diodes to a single receiver are different in a visible light communication system. To solve this problem, we apply a QR-decomposition-based channel equalizer(QR-CE) to achieve successive interference cancellation for a discrete Fourier transform spreading(DFT-S) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) signal.We experimentally demonstrate a 200 Mb/s DFT-S OFDM over a 2 m free-space transmission. The experimental results show that a DFT-S OFDM with QR-CE attains much better bit error rate performance than a DFT-S OFDM with conventional CEs. The impacts of several parameters on a QR-CE are also investigated. 展开更多

The product of the A_b~0(B~0) differential production cross-section and the branching fraction of the decay A_b~0→J/ψpK~-(B~0→J/ψK~*(892)~0) is measured as a function of the beauty hadron transverse momentum,p_T,and rapidity,y.The kinematic region of the measurements is p_T <20 GeV/c and 2.0<y<4.5.The measurements use a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3fb~(-1) collected by the LHCb detector in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies s~(1/2)=7 TeV in 2011 and s~(1/2)= 8TeV in 2012.Based on previous LHCb results of the fragmentation fraction ratio,f_∧_b~0/f_d,the branching fraction of the decay ∧_b~0→J/ψpK~- is measured to be B(∧_b~0→J/ψpK~-)=(3.17±0.04±0.07±0.34_(-0.28)~(+0.45)×10~(-4)where the first uncertainty is statistical,the second is systematic,the third is due to the uncertainty on the branching fraction of the decay B~0→J/ψK~*(892)~0,and the fourth is due to the knowledge of f_∧_b~0/f_d.The sum of the asymmetries in the production and decay between A_b and A_b~0 is also measured as a function of p_T and y.The previously published branching fraction of A_b~0→J/φpπ~-,relative to that of A_b~0→J/ψpK~-,is updated.The branching fractions of∧_b~0→P_c~+(→J/ψp)K~- are determined. 展开更多

From 2010 to 2015, the Wuhan Institute of Posts and Telecommunications(WRI) had undertaken the national key basic research development program project ‘ultra-high speed, ultra-large capacity, ultra-long distance(3U)optical transmission based research' as the leading agency. Under the support of the project, we have obtained a series of achievements in scientific research and engineering. Some of the results have been widely used in commercial systems.
